Location and special features

First opened in 2009, the Limbecker Platz shopping center in the north-west of Essen's city center is very popular with bargain hunters. Not only do they enjoy a particularly diverse range of goods here, but also the unusual architecture. Hidden behind curved, round facades is a bright market square with a large fountain at its heart. Every day, more than 50,000 visitors gather in the 70,000 square meters of retail space and enjoy the wide range of food and drink on offer.

Directions and parking

Limbecker Platz can be reached by bus and streetcar as well as by streetcar and subway. All stops are located at or in the building. For those arriving by car, there are a total of 2,400 paid parking spaces available on the top two floors and on the roof of the shopping center. Access is via the B 224/231 and Berliner Platz.
