Located on the outskirts of the Hanseatic city of Bremen, the Dodenhof shopping center is a popular meeting place for bargain hunters from all over the north. What makes Dodenhof so special is its long tradition, its unusually diverse range and its size. Founded in 1910 as a department store in the tranquil town of Posthausen, Dodenhof has developed into the largest shopping center in northern Germany, particularly since the 1980s. Today, the shopping center, which is still run by the Dodenhof family, has a sales area of more than 125,000 square meters and is home to a total of seven shopping worlds: Fashion World, Living World, Sports World, Technology World, Gourmet World, Garden World and Car World. The family-run company is also venturing into the digital world and offers Click & Collect, where customers can reserve goods online and collect them on site. Other services include free center Wi-Fi, online appointments at selected stores and center-wide accessibility.

Directions and parking

The Dodenhof shopping center is located just a few kilometers east of the A 1/A 27 freeway junction. The center is just a few minutes' drive from both the north and the south via the two freeway exits 51 (A 1) and the Langwedel exit (A 27). There are several open-air parking lots around Dodenhof, which together offer space for over 5,000 cars. There is a 24-hour petrol station and a car wash on the premises. The center can also be reached by bus lines 760 (from Verden) and 739 (from Bremen).
