GEORG WINTERLING eröffnete sein eigenes Geschäft 1890 in Hamburg. Seitdem ist der Name Winterling fest mit meisterhaftem Geigenbau in Hamburg verknüpft. Diese Tradition wurde von allen bisherigen Inhabern fortgeführt, wobei jeder Schwerpunkte nach seiner individuellen Art setzte. Seit 2009 wirkt Eduard Schwen als Geigenbaumeister und lebt die alte Kunst mit Faszination und Hingabe.
