Location and special features

The Europark in Salzburg's Taxham district comprises 130 stores, making it one of the most important commercial enterprises in the region. Its catchment area extends into the neighboring Austrian states and Bavaria. The shopping center, which opened on 24 September 1997 and was reopened eight years later, has a sales area of 35,900 square meters and a total area of 50,700 square meters (including the adjacent Ikea store, which covers around 70,000 square meters). With around ten million visitors a year, Europark is one of the most visited shopping centers in the country.

Directions and parking

By car, you can either take Klessheimer Allee and Peter-Pfenninger-Straße or the A1 highway (Salzburg-Klessheim exit). The Europark can be reached toll-free from Bavaria. With 4,200 free parking spaces, every visitor is guaranteed to find a suitable space. Alternatively, the shopping center can be reached by public transport such as bus lines 1, 9, 12, 28 and 34, the Postbus line 142 and the S-Bahn lines S2 and S3.
