Description

At Silver Spine & Neurological Center — Interventional Pain Management & Spine Surgery in Sherman, Greenville, and McKinney, Texas, spine fellowship-trained neurosurgeon M. Viktor Silver, MD, FACS, FRCS, specializes in minimally invasive and complex neurosurgical procedures for neck, back, arm, and leg pain.

The minimally invasive and complex spine neurosurgeon provides comprehensive back pain management, treating conditions like stenosis, herniated discs, and sciatica.

Dr. Silver uses his clinical and academic experience when treating patients, starting treatment with conservative care such as physical therapy and interventional pain management to minimize acute pain. He then considers long-term solutions like spinal cord stimulation, minimally invasive procedures, or advanced reconstructive spine surgery.

After completing his surgical rotation at the University of Tubingen, School of Medicine, Katharinen Hospital in Stuttgart, Germany, Dr. Silver relocated to Canada for his general surgery internship at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec.

Dr. Silver then completed his neurosurgery residency at the University of Toronto in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, before finishing his spine fellowship training at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.

A double-board certified neurosurgeon by the American Board of Neurological Surgery (ABNS) and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, Dr. Silver’s training included management of complex spinal diseases using minimally invasive spine surgery, disc replacement, and surgery for correction of deformities.

When it comes to patient care, Dr. Silver’s main objective is to understand symptoms, determine an accurate diagnosis, and develop realistic treatment and recovery plans.
