Description

Rural Health Corporation of Northeastern Pennsylvania provides comprehensive medical and dental care for people of all ages, from newborns through retirement years. The highly trained team offers prompt, convenient care at 12 offices in Nuremberg, Sullivan Trail Falls, Freeland, Hazelton, Monroe Township, Wilkes-Barre, Shickshinny, and Edwardsville, Pennsylvania.

As a Federally Qualified Health Center, the team delivers services uniquely designed to help people in rural areas get the medical care they need. Patients get van transportation from their home to the clinic, and those that qualify get all their services on a sliding fee scale.

The clinic performs in-house lab work and operates a 340B pharmacy, which means patients get discounted medications.

Rural Health Corporation of Northeastern Pennsylvania operates a free clinic in downtown Wilkes-Barre that caters to the homeless. However, they may also see patients with insurance there if needed.

Everyone who seeks medical care at Rural Health Corporation of Northeastern Pennsylvania receives exceptional care. The team meets high-quality standards for all their services, including family medicine, adolescent medicine, pediatric care, geriatrics, and general dentistry.

In addition to providing the full scope of women's and men's health, including birth control, the team offers wellness care with annual and school physicals. Patients with chronic health conditions like diabetes and hypertension can get excellent long-term medical care that promotes their ongoing health.

The team screens for heart problems with in-house electrocardiograms (EKGs). They also offer depression screening and perform minor procedures to take care of injuries.

As primary care providers, Rural Health Corporation of Northeastern Pennsylvania serves as a medical home base. They give people a place to go and caring professionals to turn to when any type of medical or dental need arises.
