What is the difference between goods, products, services and brands?
Since the transition between e.g. goods and products is sometimes quite fluid, we give you here a definition valid for wogibtswas.de:
- Commodity: A commodity is an umbrella term for a product. E.g. cornflakes, beer, bicycles, jeans etc.
- Products: Is a specific product such as Beck's Gold 0.33, iPhone 7 (256GB) black. These items have a unique EAN or GTIN.
- Brand: Brands are for example: Kellog's, Hülsta, Bench, Apple etc.
- Service: Services include offers such as: Gardening, Media Design, Office Rental, Investment Consulting, etc.
